Adorable Dogs in miniature.

How could you not be amused and enthralled by these beautiful little canine creations from Domenica More Gordon. Each dog is lovingly created from a ball of unspun wool and a felting needle...! You can see the collection at 'The Dog Show' at The Workshop in Edinburgh from 19th November to 18th December, or visit The Workshop online.

Welcome to little Kai Rooney

For those of you who don't follow football the name Kai Rooney will have no significance whatsoever. However, I'm sure the arrival of their first-born child will have sparked a frenzy of interior design activity for the proud parents...Wayne and Colleen...! And, I'm sure no expense will have been spared to ensure little Kai's every comfort in his new nursery....Here's a Dreams and Wishes take on a footy-themed bedroom for Kai...naturally the colour scheme will favour red, white and blue to honour Waynes' footballing career with Manchester United and England....with an Astroturf carpet for Kai to get used to the grass beneath his feet at an early stage. Planet Little make beautiful, classic furniture that can be hand-painted the 'Man Utd red' and how about a touch of red gingham wallpaper to give the room a 'nursery' feel. Finally, a few 'football' bean bags dotted around the room....Right!! Time to stop!...me thinks I might be getting to carried away....anyway, Congratulations to the Rooneys.

Bright ideas for kid's lighting.

I'm sure it's not escaped you're notice...it's getting dark very early now...and we haven't even turned the clocks back yet. With this in mind...and the fact that I'm stumbling around in semi-darkness...my thoughts turned to lighting ideas for kid's rooms.

I hope the photos above inspire you, as they have me..!

Flash Card Decor

With the days getting shorter, and colder, it's likely your little ones are spending more time indoors...what a great time to involve them in a design idea for their room. Alphabet flash cards are a practical way to add colour without going overboard..!
Stand them along a shelf, or place individually into picture frames (check out Ikea for some stylish examples) or clip onto a photo mobile and hang over a cot or changing table.
The flash cards above are from Amazon, Wee Gallery, Land of Nod and Bibitty on Etsy.
Send in your interior ideas for using flash cards...

A moment of indugence

I've not had the most productive week, this week...too much daydreaming and not enough action, me thinks! Still, we all need a little 'time-out' now and then...

I'll leave you with some favourite room inspirations I found on Cookie Mag....while I get back to my chores!!

Holiday Haven for the Boys

Just wanted to show you the latest interior designed by Dreams and Wishes. Inspired by vintage seaside resorts the room has already got the thumbs-up from it's new young inhabitants.

The wallpaper is Cath Kidston...but you knew that, didn't you...? The bunkbeds, from Ikea, have been painted white, and the cabinet was a junk shop find...more on that in a later blog!

No 'back to school blues' here..!

Designed by a group of architectural students at Tu University in Berlin, under the watchful eye of their founder Suzanne Hoffman, the Baupiloten have created this unique kindergarten interior.

With the help of the children who attend The Traumbaum Kindergarten....traumbaum means 'tree of dreams'....the space has been designed to '...stimulate the imagination and offer opportunity for interactive play...' I'd say so...!! What a winner...I'd like to know how they get the kids to go home at the end of the day...?

Do I come across as slightly envious...?

...or maybe I should stop drooling over gorgeous images of Swedish interior style...? Judging by this delightful playhouse, featured in Family Living magazine, it's not just their homes that receive the full design treatment...I can only guess what the garden shed must look like...!

If only I had the wall space...

Really loving this giant Union Jack wallpaper panel from http://www.wallpaperspace.co.uk/. It covers a space of 2.8mtrs high and 3.65mtrs wide...! Now that's a 'feature wall'!!! Don't worry, your postman is not going to have a hernia delivering this monster...it's printed on seven rolls...and the cost? just under £293...

Holy Chromium, Batman!

Firstly, Can I just apologise for my absenteeism recently...lots going on at the moment, but not much to show for it...still, whilst going through some 'snaps' I found this...! How's that for a Batmobile upgrade...? Took me right back to those old (they call it 'retro' now) Batman shows I used to watch on Saturday mornings...!

Introducing....my baby!

This is Molly...so adorable!! Apparently, her name in Hebrew means 'lady'...but I prefer to think of her as a 'proper little madam'...whatever her title, she's in charge...and I think I hear her barking her next instructions to me as we speak....must go!...HRH is calling!!
