Top ten kid's wallpapers.

Having spent the last couple of weeks studying for an exam...! I am now back on the blogging case. So with Spring traditionally being a popular season for re-decorating I'm sharing my top ten of kid's wallpapers with you...who knows, we may just agree on a few of them...!
In traditional manner, we'll start with No.10...

It's an old favourite from Graham and Brown but you could create your own version with Washi tape.

No 9...
Rapidly heading into the Top Ten is Jane Churchill's March Hares...

No 8...
It was a tough decision to choose from all the Designers Guild options...but Boqueria is the sort of design that fairy tales are made of.

No 7...
One of the classics from the 'Queen of Vintage' Cath Kidston...it's one for the boys!

No 6...
I make no excuses for this next entry...and if I ever get my very own dressing room...this will be my wallpaper of choice. Thank you Harlequin!

No 5...
Hibou Home specialize in kid's room wallpapers so had to have a place in my Top Ten...

No 4...
For something a little more Scandinavian, Ferm Living produce some truly charming ideas. I could've gone for their harlequin design, but instead...

No 3...
Only Sandberg could make rain clouds seem cheerful...

No 2...
I love the cheeky designs from Isak...and the penguins best of all...

No 1...
And the winner is...Missprint's Muscat wallpaper. Perfect for all ages and genders so will last for years...

So, does your 'favourite' feature here?
What would be your top three...and why?

Easter egg decorating ideas for the kids.

I'm a little surprised to be posting this in time for Easter...usually I'm up till the early hours trying to put together last minute decorations...!
Although I tend to take the most difficult and time-consuming option at times...this year I've opted for simple stickers from the local craft shop...no mess and decorative eggs in minutes...Perfect!
But what about these great ideas...maybe next year!

Stylish shared kid's rooms.

It was National Sibling Day this week...I know, I nearly missed it too...! Whilst I have a sibling, I didn't feel the need to shower her with gifts or treats...Quite the opposite I'm afraid as I was reminded of the frequent arguments when sharing a bedroom with her as young kids...
So how do you accommodate two kids in one bedroom...here's a few ideas...

Grey for kid's room decor.

I know! It's not the first colour most parents consider when decorating their kid's rooms...but wait a minute, let's have a think about this. Colour psychologists will tell you that it instills a feeling of  stability and calm. Lighter tones and lots of complemetary white gives an illuminating effect.
Take inspiration from these ideas...

Beautiful things from the Stationary Show

Fact...writing by hand is gaining popularity again...and companies are coming up with some stylish stationary and desk accessories to inspire us to pick up our pens!
So what better better place to go during National Stationary Week than the Stationary Show in London...and here's a small sample of 'kid-friendly' items that caught my eye...

The NPW stand was loaded with bright, funky accessories including colourful paperclips in virtually every shape imaginable, animals, bicycles, fangs, numbers and even standard 'paperclip' shapes.

And what about these 'get the hint' sticky notes for keeping track with school work...

Of course, in less appealing lessons, a Doodlecase may help...kids can customize their pencil case and then wash it all off ready to go again...

But my favourite just has to be the Noodoll stand...all of it...I can't single out any one product, they are all delightful. From the plush toys to the greeting cards...everything appeals to my sense of kid's design.

Just a small sample of what was on show...but more than enough to delight!
